NEW HARMONICS FOR 9W2ALX
Morning 27 Feb 08 at 9:03am a fellow ham members' XYL safely delivered their second harmonic. A YL they named Seri Nur Farisya binti Muhammad Firdaus. UNIARM would like to congratulate 9W2ALX (Alex) and his XYL for their new bundle of joy.

HAM CENTRAL ROTATION EYEBALL at CHERAS Friday 22FEb 9.30PM plus GogoPal road Show

Time has come for our next central region "HAM CENTRAL ROTATION EYEBALL". The cheras group lead by 9w2KNS , 9w2 EET, 9w2BGL and.9w2SEE cordially invites all HAM members and SWLs to CHERAS on 22 Feb at 9 PM RESTORAN AMEER EHSAN FOR Cheras eyeball. There will be a GOGOPAL road show finally after many postponement. Food will be served to members with special offers from the suppliers for their products. Two location maps are attached above close up (micro) and overall view (Macro) for you to find the restaurant. Many Cheras members will be there so come and join us.

APRS Talk
To: Alibaba regulars
This Friday Eyeball on 1st Feb 2008 will be at MOSIN at Jalan Aminuddin Baki ( please note there 2 MOSIN in TTDI) Map attached. This is also our temporary hangout on a daily basis until the New Alibaba opens after CNY with new name...... hopefully.
I am also sad to announce that the hand print wall of "shame " is no more. ....gone forever ! for the moment. Unless we decide to do a new one in future.
We are still waiting for HAMs to organise eyeball TT in their Areas perhaps after CNY. Automatic Positioning Reporting System "APRS" talk by a HAM member from Japan at MOSIN TTDI 31 Jan Thursday.
We are hoping to have Mr Art from Japan and his friend Martin From Holland to give a talk on "APRS". Today Thursday 31 Jan 2008 at MOSIN at about 8.30 pm. This is a last minute arrangements and unfortunately rush for time. We hope we can organise a proper talk next time. This is the plan so far, however, if there is any change will anounce on RKK about 6pm to 7pm. Please monitor RKK if you interested to join the talk. Alternatively you can email me or phone me for updates. This is a casual adhoc arrangement, nothing formal so those interested in APRS do join us as it would be interesting to learn. Sorry for the last minute arrangements.

FIRST EYEBALL ROTATION IN AMPANG 25 JAN08
AFTER EVENT REPORT : 40 STATIONS ALL TOGETHER TURNED UP SOME FROM PENANG, PERLIS, V17KERAMAT AMATEUR RADIO GROUP.... HOPE THE ROTATION EYEBALL WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE GOOD TURN UP. LETS MEET HAM FROM OTHER AREAS.!
Our first Friday eyeball rotation is at Ampang Jaya today 25th Jan FRiday .

UNIARM CELEBRATES RAYA OPEN HOUSE AT ORPHANAGE RUMAH AMAH
Amateur Radio celebrates Eid / Raya Open House at Orphanage Rumah Aman Shah Alam 4 th Nov 2007.
It was an Open House with a difference! United Amateur Radio celebrated Eid with 24 orphans from the Rumah Amal Limpangan Kasih in Puchong and 30 orphans Ruman Aman Shah Alam recently.
Magic Shows, Telematch Games, Rappers Presentations, Amateur Radio Demos and other fun activities entertained the children. Food was plentiful too, with a variety of dishes served; from mee rebus, BBQ lamb, Murtabak and Pizza servings. The excess food did not go to waste; it was packed and given back to the two orphanages for the children's supper.
The children had so much fun and laughter! Many were rewarded with prizes from the games and telematches. Goodie bags were given to all who came, so at the end of the day no one went home empty handed. The magic show was excellent too, as it got both the children excited and adults laughing. The children also sang-along with a guest rapper from Senegal who entertained them with his songs.
Throughout the event Amateur Radio communication was also demonstrated to the children and adults by 9W2OBR and our senior member, 9M2DS.
The celebration attracted over 100 Amateur Radio members, together with their families and friends. It was day to remember indeed and an opportunity for all of us to interact with the orphans as well as "eyeball" each other
I take this opportunity to thank those who donated items as well as their time, including HAM members who donated food items (9w2afy,9w2 ice, 9w2gl) and those who gave their time as volunteers (9m2ds, 9m2mmm, 9w2adc, 9w2boi, 9w2vt, 9w2bsd, 9w2obr, 9w2tkk and many more).
My thanks also goes out to Amateur radio friends i.e. Hanim Abdul Rahman, Siti Sajidah, Putri Razita , Lorna Ali, Lyana Harun, Denis Stepanenko and staff of Rumah Aman all of whom donated presents, goodie bags and their time .
