A big thank you to Amateur Radio volunteers from various clubs for helping out with communications as well as participating and assisting in exhibition booth at NCSM “Relay for Life”. It was our first joint event providing communication and a successful one with more then 60 HAM members at the event. Despite a few minor hitches all went well and most of all we enjoyed ourselves. Members took their own initiative in solving problems and most of all we learnt how to work as a team and improve our skills in communication.

Kudos to all hams who participated in the event. Unfortunately, 2 years running, i've missed the event. Hopefully next year I'll be able to make it with hams from NorthJohor. On the very same day of the event in KL, we were doing RACES exercise in Penang. You guys are already doing RACES role at the event.... "Civil Service" part of it....
Keep it up... and again.. congratulations for a job well done. We are spending so much time and money on our hobby.. sometimes we need to give back to the society.. at least with the skills we acquired thru our love of ham.

For those who missed it this year and all of you, please do mark in your calendar for next year's Relay For Life 30th and 31st May 2009? Thank you.

Its people like you who always make a difference to others in need.
